Noise barriers in the mining industry must eliminate or reduce noise created by:
- crushers used to reduce the size of large blocks of minerals and/or coal
- vibrating screens used for sizing minerals and/or coal
- slide chutes used for transporting the minerals and/or coal through plants.
- the engines, horns and reverse sounds of trucks and excavators
- heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
