Frequently Asked Questions

The panels are 75mm thick and either 2400mm or 3000mm long X 900mm or 1200mm high. Our panels can also be stacked on top of each other or cut onsite to suit any height requirement.

Our panels have excellent sound blocking properties (noise reduction of up to 28 Decibels). The panels have been correctly tested and certified to AS 1191-2002. A NATA certificate is available on request. The actual noise reduction achieved depends on many factors, the greatest of which is the height and length of the wall. Due to the sometimes complex nature of sound propagation you would need to engage an acoustic engineer if an outcome needs to be guaranteed.

To date, our EvoWall system has been pre-engineered to 2.4 metres, UrbanWall to 3m, TechnikoWall to 3m and the DuneWall to 12 metres high. These heights can be exceeded by simple engineering on a job by job basis. Each Council may have slightly varying requirements as to wall heights, we recommend that you contact them or visit their website to confirm local requirements. We can supply an engineering sign-off if required by local authorities.

All wall heights have been engineered (with available reports) to suit the required categories and wind regions. We will specify on the quotations and associated drawings, the correct product type for your location.

We recommend a qualified builder or fencing installer, although someone competent with DIY projects should also be suitable. Installation guides are available in the resources section of our website.

You should only require 2 people to install 50 metres of 1800 high wall over 2 days on a suitable site. Concrete the posts in on the first day and assemble the wall on the next.

On a 400mm diameter X 700mm deep hole you should allow between $20 – $25 (Pricing accurate in 2021) per hole for concrete, depending on if you choose to hand mix the concrete, or order in ready mix via concrete truck. For this size hole it will require approx 0.10 m3 of concrete per hole. Concrete for a commercial project should be calculated from preliminary drawings based on the engineer specified footing size.

Even though our walls will easily withstand the weather, uncoated for many years, we recommend that it is coated within 30 days of installation. Please note that our wall panels must be primer coated whilst dry, immediately after install, if it is in a cyclonic wind region. This is due to the panel strength being lowered if allowed to become very wet whilst in the raw state.

Yes. If the wall is installed correctly to our engineering specifications, we warrant the wall against any defective materials or workmanship for 10 years.

The walls are designed to withstand the rigors of everyday life. If there is any accidental surface damage to the wall, it can be quickly repaired with exterior grade filler. For major damage (ie. car crash) the damaged panels can be simply slid out and replaced with new ones.

Yes, by using standard dry wall fixing systems and adhering to their recommended load ratings.

Engineered with high impact composite technology, Strux upgrades your barrier wall investment to withstand the hardest knocks, minimising damage and maximising the lifespan of your wall.
